Oregon DEQ to close through Friday after cyberattack

Oregon’s Department of Environmental Quality has shut down and vehicle inspections at DEQ stations are temporarily halted as the agency tackles a cyberattack, the agency announced Wednesday.
In a statement April 9, Oregon DEQ said it will temporarily shut down its networks “until the attack is totally contained and potentially eradicated.” It will remain closed Thursday and Friday.
The will have impacts on all vehicle inspection stations. As of Wednesday, the agency’s website, MyDEQOnline.com, is also down.
DEQ’s IT organization, Enterprise Information Services, is investigating the cyberattack, but it’s not year clear what, if anything, has been impacted.
